2016
For 2016 it was all change on the ownership front as Rob Clark was out, and Dave and Wendy Dworkin were in. A new 10-year stadium lease was signed with the city, and great things were promised by the Dworkins. On the player side, 10 of the 2015 players returned, including the team's leading goal scorers.
Unfortunately, the team's form from 2015 did not continue, while they had lost 1 game the previous season, they lost 5 this year but still were able to make the playoffs after gelling as a squad and going on an 8-game unbeaten run to finish 4th in the Eastern Conference. In the playoffs, a late penalty call for Red Bulls II would see them tie the game after a Wal Fall 110th minute goal gave the Rhinos the lead. In the ensuing penalty kicks both teams scored their first 3 shots, but the Rhino's Dos Santos kicked the ball over the net to lose the shootout. RBII would later win the USL championship with a 5-0 slaughter of Swope Park Rangers in the Red Bull Arena in New Jersey.
